Company’s Expansion Is Another Sign of Rapidly Growing Market

for Augmented Reality and Similar Technologies

ARworks Clients Include Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Novartis, Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom and Agencies BBDO, Cheil, DDB, Grey and Publicis

SAN FRANCISCO — April 2, 2014 — ARworks (www.ARworks.com, a technology agency dedicated to strengthening brands and connecting them to a constantly connected audience by developing B2B, mobile marketing campaigns with Augmented Reality (AR) and other next generation visually rich, immersive and interactive technologies, announced today that it has opened a new office in San Francisco. Located in the heart of the city, in the SoMa district, a major epicenter for technology companies worldwide, the office is led by Judit Langh, ARworks’ Managing Partner in the U.S. The office will support the company’s customers and partners including regional, national and global brands, advertising, marketing and event marketing agencies.

“Having created a solid customer base in our markets in Europe and Asia, expansion to the U.S. market is the next natural step forward,” said Sab Budahazy, CEO of ARworks. “As a trusted partner for brands including Audi, Mercedes-Benz, Novartis, Vodafone, Deutsche Telekom and advertising agencies such as BBDO, Cheil, DDB, Grey and Publicis, it has become critical that we have a strong presence in the market where so much of the world’s emerging technologies are located and where our partners operate. The mobile technology field is growing rapidly and AR and other similar technologies are on the brink of a significant growth curve. We are very excited to be in the center of all this and offering our customers the expertise we have accumulated over the past five years.”

AR is technology that blends the real and virtual worlds. It adds a layer of digital content on top of the physical world as viewed through a mobile device, be it iOS or Android based. The digital content can be any kind of information in a wide range of formats — graphics, photo, video, audio or 3D animated real-life like objects and characters.

AR and other immersive and interactive technologies allow brands to connect to consumers in ways that are entertaining, exciting and highly informative.

“By 2017, nine out of 10 connected devices will be mobile,”Langh said. “Mobile is on its way to squeezing out other media and communication channels, especially for younger audiences. As a new type of medium with the power that compares to that of supercomputers not too long ago, it calls for content that is highly visual, exciting, interactive, immersive and available in real-time.”
