Santa has arrived

ARworks has developed for its client, Perfect Tour, a major tour-operator on the Romanian tourism market, a smart solution for activating the visitors of the Romanian Tourism Fair, in mid-November 2014.

The visitors on the stand had the chance to virtually meet, in augmented reality, some of our client’ special guests: Santa Claus was there, who kept on beaming up from Lapland back and forth, the young and friendly captain of the MSC Orchestra cruise ship, a young and exotic dancer who wouldn’t say her name, and even a group of kids beamed from Disney Land (who were of course sent back to their parents on the first occasion).

The special guests were appearing on the huge LED wall screen in the booth showing the live camera image of the stand, next to the visitors – they were even interacting with them, making fun of them, depending on their mood.

In the 4 days of fair, hundreds of visitors were activated with our solution and lived an augmented experience that showed them how fun and exciting would be to travel with our client, Perfect Tour.

AR Maze with a space shuttle and shooting stars for Telenor

For our Telenor client, we’ve developed an event application, that illustrates the evolution of the mobile net’s bandwidth, in an entertaining, 3 dimensional, immersive way.
On the spot (in one of the most frequented shopping mall of the city) visitors had to walk through a maze, approx 10m by 10m bite, with an Android tablet in their hands. By pointing these devices on pictures at 5 spot within the maze, they were faced a virtual challenge in Augmented Reality appearing around themselves.

Visitors had to catch 3 dimensional blue butterflies among the other ones, spot the fastest, the blue train among the others, find the airplane with the blue wings somewhere around them, launch a space shuttle in the air at the right time and catch as many shooting stars appearing on the night sky around them as possible. They could even make a wish, after that of course .

All of the magic appearing around them in 3D was made in Augmented Reality by our team

During the 1 week long promotional period more then 1000 people volunteered to find their way out of this magical maze.

AR stage show in Bangkok

One of the biggest Thai TV producing studio, Pasangyasorn, is launching 5 new shows during this autumn. One of these, the animated series of PinKeaw was presented to the media journalists with the help of Augmented Reality developed by ARworks The event was held in the last weeks of August in the Bangkok Grand Mercure Hotel.

The imaginary main character of the show, PinKeaw – after the audience watched an actual footage from the movie – appeared on the stage in 3D just besides the MC of the event and they greeted together the audience. Then, when the stage program was ended, guests could shake hands with PinKeaw and have a photo with him of this unique occasion.

The project was the result of our corporate roadshow in thailand at the end of this July and hopefully others will follow.
